I would start by making a records request with the agency your attorney(s) had communicated with, and use a case number, your name, your opponent's name etc as keywords. Try to give a time range if possible, and any other factor you can think of to narrow the results (i.e. weed out irrelevant emails). This should provide a good starting point, and if you find something "juicy," (which you almost always will!!) you can widen your net. I have found that these records are almost always money well spent, IF you have reason to believe that your attorney was working against you, or that there was misconduct by either party that involved court staff or other agents. Good luck!
